We saw a lot of that public reaction yesterday. People freaking at the first sign of gunfire. Gunfire is scarier than bombs because once a bomb is over you feel relatively safe. People just run from gunfire because they can’t tell where it’s coming from or when it’s stopped. Some revolutionaries used multiple bombs. Some used poison in the mail. Some use fire. Some use protests or marches. All are expressions of threats.
