I have a god. He has no name. I call him Sky Father, as did my
ancestors. I have a lawgiver and his name is Aristotle. I have
a law, and its name Natural Law. I have heroes, from over five
thousand years of my people’s history — too many to list – any
number of whom to pray to for counsel. I have ancestors to
thank for my inheritance. I have nature to thank for her
bounty. I have my people. I have my family, I have my friends. I
have my will. I have my body. And that is all I need. To want
more is to dishonor all of them.
