We had a huge reorganization of the planet with the end of empires during the world wars. The end of empires and of the limits of agrarianism.
We’ve had a huge reorganization of the planet by the americans in the postwar period, trying to convert to self determined states and federations.
We appear to be returning to the conflict of civilizations (races), and this will mean either empires or alliances that are the resource-equivalent.
And we appear to be having a total population and civilizational collapse across the developed countries, that as a consequence will cause devastation in less developed countries.
And as a result either retrenchment or re-concentration of forces if only in defense, will occur.
And so we should at least cautiously expect, an upheaval on the scale of the world wars.
It might not happen. We don’t know. We can’t know. If you look at Rudyard’s predictions they are a spectrum that’s in line with everyone else’s predictions. Though RL is on the slightly optimistic side (as are most historians) while some are on the pessimistic side – probably because they have a less neutral assessment of civilizations.
