THE SCALES OF RELIGIONS
In my work on religion, I distinguish between informal Natural (heathen) of the home, formal archetypal(pagan) of the Nation, and institutional authoritarian (artificial monotheistic) religion of the Empire. In that context, differences make more sense. 😉
