When a god or goddess enters the earthly realm, takes on human form, copulates with a human and produces offspring- the child is a demi-god (part god, part man). The resulting hero (Achilles, Hercules, Alexander, etc.) will perform miraculous and heroic deeds to ascend to to the realm of the gods. These figures often leave behind powerful human descendants. (aristocracy). This is a European concept, not Jewish, who outright rejected the mere thought JC was fathered by their patron deity, who was the storm god from the phonecian pantheon.
