Killing the hosts of an idea, just like invalidating an idea, only forces the remaining idea-investors to double down on their priors. When you kill them the remainder double down on their priors. Killing hosts does not produce multiplier effects – meaning it does not encourage reformation. Instead, it forces doubling down on the priors. So you have to break all hope that priors will ever be successful.
