You don’t prove a point. It’s impossible. Instead, you state a hypothsis, theory, or law, and show why it’s possible and why the aternatives are not possible or less likely. No amount of confirmation proves anything. It is only the superiority of one explanation over all the atlernatives. And then identifying the incentives to adhere to less likely alternatives in order to avoid the truth.
