Sorry but it’s true. John Kusack and Nick Cage can make a B movie script into a watchable A- movie. Meanwhile, the usual A-lister’s can’t carry a mainstream blockbuster any longer. So what does that tell you?
It says something about blockbuster scripts, and something about the relationship of A-list actors to the blockbustern narratives – they don’t got ‘it’.
Every movie today is a superhero movie.
The problem is, we don’t care about superheroes.
And we don’t care about the actors portraying them.
Why is that?
Internationalization of audiences. 🙂
