Marketing: The systematic *planning, implementation and control of a mix of business activities intended to bring together buyers and sellers* for the mutually advantageous exchange or transfer of products.
Brand: A ‘weight and measure’ that promises some form of quality to the customer. Branding: The discipline of creating that *promise*.
Advertising: The paid, public, non-personal (disinter-mediated) announcement of a *persuasive* message by an identified sponsor; to its existing customers and potential customers.
Public Relations: The systematic discipline of inducing the public to have *understanding* of, and *goodwill* toward, a person, firm, or institution.
Sales: The process of locating and directly communicating an individual for the purpose of *persuasively* obtaining agreement on the purchase of goods or services.
Communications: The process of distributing *explanatory* information to internal and external audiences.
