I will add that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to adopt european truth-before-face regardless of cost, and to create the norm in society. And it is very hard to do without honest military that produces an honest judiciary that produces an honest population that elects an honest govt.

@Elbanna201 It depends LESS on your intelligence and hard work than your geographic location and the demographic composition of your society. A very smart, very good, hard-working person is screwed in a lot of the world.
