There is no evidence of selflessness or altruism that I know of. As far as I know we are buying evidence of non-threatening status, options on futures, self doubt reduction, or virtue signaling. We are buying something every time. But yes, Forbearance(Tolerance) and charity wins.

@curtdoolittle Selfishness vs selflessness.
One is violent and/or parasitic, whereas the other can build relationships and communities simply and efficiently, if given a little bit of sense and restraint on just how altruistic one can be. Can’t build if you give all away.
