(… revisiting…) Just want to throw in here that operational proofs are possibilities, but they are still just falsificationary, not justificationary.Either one can produce a more parsimonious competitor or one can’t.The fact something isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it’s not best.

Nah. That’s academia: A network of “social proof” (consensus/authority) void of operational proofs.
