Putin doesn’t have a serious problem, he has an approval rate second only to The Queen. If he had not ‘flinched’ and invaded ukraine, but taken the territory honestly, for rather justifiable reasons, he’d still be man of the year every year, and the most respected politician.

@nogg_the @Billbrowder Russians are a low trust society, and they don’t understand that the west is successful because of the ‘religious’ devotion of the judiciary, police, and military to rule of law under a constitution of natural law (reciprocity). So they demand democracy – and they’re wrong.
