(Irony)
Perils of rural life. Friend. Eric. Oregon. Lives on a ranch. Found a bullet hole in his hood this morning from a stray round fired from BLM (bureau of land management) territory nearby. Now, a stray 308, assuming it was shot upward and reached terminal velocity: Skin impact: Likely to bruise or break skin, causing a shallow wound. Penetration, if any, would be minimal (a few centimeters), as the bullet lacks the force to pierce deeply. Head impact: Could cause a concussion, skull fracture, or laceration. Fatal injury is unlikely but possible if it hits a critical area (e.g., temple or eye) with perfect alignment.
OK. So, we aren’t safe in rural america, suburban america or urban america? ;).
It’s all nonsense. You’re safer here than just about anywhere else as log as you avoid ‘minority’ neighborhoods’.
