I bet on talent. You would be surprised at my success rate. It’s less than 20%, probably. But that’s still a pretty high success rate. ;). The number of companies founded by people who have worked for me is evidence enough. The quality of the fellows at my think tank demonstrates it’s repeatable.
Rudyard is the real thing. He might go sideways. But he has Marek, me, and others watching the guardrails.
You can’t try to achieve victory with all your investments. Instead, you develop a portfolio and add people and drop them as they demonstrate whether your speculation was warranted or not.
