Races of Man
I use pictures for the ideologically captured.
There are at least four speciation events, before the word was populated sufficiently for subsequent hybridization.
1) East african rift valley -> coastal route, 2) -> Oceana 2) dry persian gulf -> iranian plateau and Anatolia 3) -> Europe 4) and -> East Asia (disputed path either coastal or from india to mongolia) 5) the ancestral north eurasians are now extinct as they have dispersed into europeans and siberians and into the americas. Obviously the neanderthals and dravidians as well as the other offshoots of the earlier migrations are extinct.
By the end of the ice age, the four (five) major races (subspecies) were as different as europeans vs east asians. The agrarian revolution allowed the expansion of populations, migrations, and the development of trade. As such we remain four/five different subspecies adapted to local climate and resources, in a neotenic distribution from african to east asian, with hybridization due to human reproductive plasticity and adaptability.
The primary differences are the degree of neotenic evolution possible under isolation speciation and pressure for cooperation.
