A more complete accounting is emerging. Where the success of a people can not be abstracted to economic success or technological success, but must explicitly describe the well being of the people themselves – which all other metrics were intended to serve not supplant.
It’s outpacing us a bit. This would be a good leverage point for our articulation of the distinction between the elite and the aristocrat.

Private capital is a means of escaping the limits of common capital. That only requires we manage and measure common capital.
