Two basic concepts that are driving conflict are (a) the 25 years of temporary excessive wealth in the postwar period created a false promise that generated the sixties and (b) and the misapplication of care made possible by that temporary wealth during that period. This condition allowed the emergence of a false sensibility in the states that was then (c) abused by the marxist-communists-socialists uniting with the Progressives, and (d) amplified by the introduction of women into the workforce, the availability of abortion and the pill, and the catastrophe of no fault divorce, common property, alimony, and child support. The family is the foundation of civilization and the homogenous polity reduces all costs of subsequent gains from civiliztion.
The present crisis is the result of the false promises of those eras self falsifying by world re-equilibration into relative equality.
