Though there is certainly an intersection, christianity was alien to europe but it was ‘germanized’ over time, and while it did serve to suppress tribalism an clannishness over time it’s an underclass religion wherease natural european religions were upper and middle class, with license for the underclasses. Christianity made it possible fo the underclasses to effectively join society not by producing commons but by not doing wrongs.
