You are incorrect. Russia was on the very edge of european civilization, only ended serfdom in the late 1800s and restored it under soviets in just a few decades. But you don’t have to believe me, just search any engine or ai and ask about the mongol influence on russian culture and behavior. I’m still surprised the Czar chose christianity instead of islam.
