Huntington was right but insufficient: we are entering the conflict of civilizations, the conflict of races, conflict of religion and cultures externally, and the conflict of classes and the conflict of sexes internally, and this has overwhelmed our capacity to coordinate and cooperate by reciprocal rules across sexes, classes, races, cultures AND civilizations.

Innovation and adaptation require a generally commensurable convergence. There is no compromise possible between extremes.
