You know. I know Eric. I’ve known him for quite few years now. I know his wife and kids. I’ve been to their home. While Eric might consider me a ‘fed’ which I find rather silly, he has never been anything other than straight with me, and even if he is both theological and philosophical instead of scientific he’s more than competent in those disciplines, and he’s an activist that makes a difference which I consider heroic.
None of us is without sin. People can justifiably criticize me for my marriages, my parenting, and my frequent failings due to my inability to comprehend the mind of ‘the little people’ so to speak.
If Eric has made a human error, that just makes him like the rest of us: human.
So if you have some reason to undermine him I’d appreciate it if you’d keep it to yourself, unless you too are free of sin.
Purity spiraling on the right is a sign of infantilization. An individual’s attempt to create fictional superiority to compensate for his failures to demonstrate even competency in the real world.
