If I worked in the academy, (a) it would be impossible because my work is too contentious (revolutionary) (b) they would not tolerate how long it takes to do the reserach required to publish (c) I would have to put up with insufferable and shallow political nonsense (d) and worse tolerate an administrative bureaucracy that is the bane of the university system.
So instead, I work at a think tanke and I get to put up with being teased and corrected by the team ( Martin? Brad? Luke? 😉 ) , who functions as a group of irreverant post-grads whose favorite recreation is humor, trash talk and sarcasm. 😉
So no, I’m not complaining. Just … sayin’. 😉
