We had a good relationship until we didnt’. He flipped on me and frankly went a little psycho. I didn’t terribly like him because his moral instincts are a bit outside of mine, but we COULD have ADULT conversation about finance economics and the right. We discussed various possible investments in ukraine, and how to make them insulated from government ‘interference’. So he had potential but he just made a very wrong choice. And I assume it’s partly driven by the fact that his wife is from the russified Ukrainian population and likely has those sentiments. (or at least did). Add to that he could obtain attention on the dissident right, you have incentives.
