There is very little to criticize in European kings. Doing so requires extraordinary ignorance of comparative civilization. Monarchy is the most common form of government in history, and all else is the exception. With European traditional law bing our secondary religion, our law constraining kings more than all elsewhere combined for reasons I’ve explained at length. Enlightenment propaganda was just that. Thos countries still retaining monarchy are in better condition than those not.
