I can’t debate non-academics or non-professionals. It’s just not possible. Even academics are awfully weak unless they’re in the top fraction of their fields.

However, I can participate in interviews with people even if they disagree, if they at least seek to understand.

No point in providing clicks and legitimacy in insult wars under pretense of debate with nitwits. I have a weak moment of optimism about my fellow man, and try it about once a year and it’s always a disaster.
