You are confusing the best possible with the perfect. The reason our people are failing isn’t classical liberalism as much as christian ethics and the inclusion of jews and women into the polity and economy without defending abainst female instincts that are antisocial, antipolitical, dysgenic and devolutionary.

We can plug the six to eight holes in the constitution and end what you are criticizing. That does not mean that there is a superior alternative to the english invention of the modern state (classical liberalism) and the American codificiation of it in the first attempt at a constitution that is very close to behavioral science.
