Jackson: No idea why you think that we won’t win a war in the middle east. No one wins wars in the Middle East as europeans understand the term. Because it’s not a POLITICAL and economic region but a RELIGIOUS and cultural region. You can’t change a government and make a differnce. We don’t win wars in the middle east, we destroy capacity and contain an eternal enemy. The mistake of the west has always been the false assumption that the middle east conducts war and percieves victory or defeat as we do on the west. You should read both Van Creveld and Keegan if you don’t grasp this. OUr mistake is always and only trying to civilize into a political and economic system and good world citizenshiop the primitive tribal people and their religious and cultural order – before they naturally mature into it themselves out of envy.
