Empathy like christianty which seeks to extend the empathy of the family (kin) to kith and non-kin, is necessary at the interpersonal level, but l like socialism marxism and managed economies, is impossible because it’s incalculable beucase averages arent averagable. As such markets and eventually prices are the only lmeans of coordinating people at scale.
The problem witth the 20th is the marxist-progressive magical thinking (feminine) that scarcity had come to and end; that behaviors was what they wished rather than what is demonstrated (selfishness); and that natural selection by race, ethnicity,class, and sex is inescapable without the catastrophic consequence we see every time it’s evaded.

In this sense, arisotcracy was ethical and moral because it required responsibility. The problem for women, slaves, and the underclasses is that they could not or would not bear responsibility for the commons. Christianitygave them a means of obtaininstatus (a slae revolt) by doing no harm rather than contributing to the commons by economics, participation in political costs, and defense.

So despite the (horrors) of abrahamic religion – all three of them – we eventually progressed from aristotle to aquinas and the scholastics and discovrd natural law was just european traditional law, and that we need training in both the rational male (stoicism), and the mpathic female (self improvement, chrsitianity)
