This is an admirable but luxury belief. The fact that we do not want people who treat animals poorly in our midst because they may have other nasty habits, and the fact that we have the luxury of that belief, as well as the luxury to pay the costs of their care, is still a luxury. So it’s incorrect to say that all are the same – we aren’t, and we can’t be, and if we run into any creature we can in fact cooperate with us, it will be terrifying because it means they are also a threat to us.
