–“Well you know what they say, if you can’t explain it to a 6y/o etc..”–
You mean like mathematical analysis? category theory? The difficulty in our efforts to explain the quantum background? Regression potentials in neural networks? Database normalization and when to vary from it? Economic models of world financial flows? Civil and criminal procedure? Constitutional law? Performative vs ideal truth?
I can explain all behavior at all scales. I can explain the foundations of nearly every field. But can you comprehend it despite that I’ve reduced it to a simple logic of first principles? Absolutely not. On average it takes a person with post grad capacity the same as a three year degree to understand my work. Why? It’s the unification of the sciences into a single universally commensurable value neutral paradigm, vocabular, logic and grammar making possible the capacity to determine testifiability (truth) of any such truth claims.
That’s why it wasn’t done before. It was hard. We didn’t have much of the knowledge until the last decade or two, and we didn’t have immediate access to nearly all human knowledge until the last decade or two.
And yes the only reason I’m even responding to you is so that I can save this post and re-use it every time someone says something so profoundly absurd as whether we can reduce the logic of a field so broad to something comprehensible by a six year old.
