Sorry. No. A simulation requires a container to perform the simulation and an algorithm to perform the simulation. A thing doing a behavior on itself isn’t. The universe computes by brute force trial and error to relieve pressure either by expansion or concentration into what we call mass at every increasing scales of complexity in the capture and conversion of mass into the persistence of organization of that mass.
There is no container, there is no program, there is no simulation, just a purely physical process that as a consequence produces the equivalent of computation of concentration of energy in a persistence that defeat entropy.
Humans can simulate (predict) because prediction is the purpose of neurons. But we don’t simulate the future we predict, estimate, and conduct trial and error.
