Some people are afraid of critics.
The problem is finding critics that are contributing rather than just incompetent, disapproving, or signaling
Thankfully I have Martin Stepan, @TheAutistocrat.
If there is a hole to be poked in the work, he will find it.

Now if we can only get him to write more on his own.
So he can experience the same ‘rewards’ from critics that I do. 😉
