Benefit of the english legal system. We don’t have to kill people to change things. Just change the law. The court and self interest is enough to cause the behavioral change.

Hayek was amazed at how rapidly Americans change. but it’s precisely this dependence upon the law.

But that dependence on the law, the prohibition on authority, the requirements of naturality, concurrency, and commonality in the law, mean that we have much. more freedom of choice and self determination, but we end up in more lawsuits because we are less subject to prior restraint (as is europe, who pays for it’s prior restraint in limited technological innovation, and the flight of talent, business, and capital, to the USA.)
