Both christian and jewish do-goodery have similar roots, in the feminine abrahamic religions. But progressivism was an american interpretation of communism and socialism, but coming from the christian tradition and noblesse oblige, it was eugenic and productive and capitalizing not dysgenic and by subsidy and undermining. It was after all progressives that invented eugenics, and maintained the ethnic homogeneity of the country.
