(Shiva Purana provides a very open-minded understanding of the universe that does not require you to force yourself to believe in something ridiculous – other than anthropomorphization as the easiest way for humans to understand the world. Yes, advocates read more into the text than what’s there. Which is true of all wisdom literatures. But as I often recommend Hinduism as the most fascinating religion to learn from , it’s partly because ‘it’s not ridiculous’. 😉 )
