(Just as an aside Louis, what ‘purpose’ does religion give you that the evolutionary pressures of nature don’t force upon you? Religion is just a story that you and we have control over those forces – a means of sating natural human fear of being left behind, being undesirable, being vulnerable, being fragile, being uncertain and the universal sense of alienation as populations and economic complexity increases and others need for us decreases rapidly outside of our kin. And the motivation to obtain status that increases as complexity and resulting alienation increase.)
