It’s inconceivable to you that there is a spectrum of men who have so little regard for the opinions of others, but still take responsibility for their prosperity, safety and care, that the words ego, insecurity, and fear have no meaning and do not exist except as an understanding of the frailty of those more fragile. Our existence consists of identfying the maximum responsibility we can carry, and we judge ourselves by our success at doing the best we can and nothing else, and the enjoyment of doing so in the company those like us. I don’t enjoy making people unhappy. But I accept the responsibility for preventing the harms by those who are less capable than we are, for the good of all whether they understand it or not.
