Human history is largely one of serial monogamy (not marriage) with frequent ‘cheating’ until marriage became useful to necessary under agrarianism if for no other purpose than the utility of inheritance.
At this point there are zero reasons for men to marry. In fact, men should NEVER marry, nor impregnate a woman. Atlas Shrugged for the mating market so to speak.
Until we end common property, alimony ,and child support, marriage is an economic death sentence for men, that effectively treats men as felons in the legal system.
So we have gone past single parenthood and into non-reproduction. Why? THe family is more important than the individual – not beause we says so or believe it’s good, but because families contribute but those who don’t – don’t. They’re a sunk cost for everyone else.
