I don’t know why I would have better insight than the top talking heads, but I just don’t see anyone committing suicide. And I don’t see us provoking anyone’s suicide.

I did suggest, and I still maintain, the Russia-Iran-China alliance is just so deterministic it’s hard to believe it won’t form. The only thing preventing it is China’s dependence on American markets.

But I expect that (those) to be conventional war(s).

The Chinese are terrified of losing American trade — until they are no longer terrified. The intersection of their decline and rapid armament, their declining dependence on American trade and their loss of power over their people or economy. Well, that’s the rub.
