? My family is documented to the tenth century in Normandy. I’m the son of puritans, and a founder of the new haven colony, its first sheriff, and one of the first legislators. My x’th grandfather’s home was fortified and was one of the first, if not the first, place attacked in the Indian wars. My great x’th grandfather commanded Washington’s left in 1775. Many of my ancestors fought in the civil war as officers and at least served at least as administrative generals. My great x’th uncle led the first bombing of tokyo and audited ‘the miltary industrial complex’ for Eisenhower. My grandparents were both educated. My father, who was as privileged as could be, even during the depression, was disinherited for marrying a catholic. There are better families than mine, that transitioned from agrarianism even better, but my blood is pretty blue.
