SUPPORTING TESTIMONY:
1) I took advice from my grandfather and started taking power naps at about 40. I’m over 60 and I still use it to restore cognitive ability.
2) When I taught creativity I used the same strategy of filling the shelves of your mind, then sleeping, resting, or even playing. You don’t have to work at auto-association – your brain will do that for you. In other words, “shower and driving” insights can be ‘farmed’ systematically just as easily as physical strength can develop in sports.
