So from my experience “running the experiment”, you work at making each other happy within the limits of her children and your business and interests.And you maintain hard barriers. I will impose ‘limits’ on behavior against me and her mother, just as she will my biz on her kids.

The reason you can’t reliably develop a relationship with, or marry single mothers, is that you can never enter the exchange of putting one another – and your relationship – first. Although if both you have children, that possibility increases. Single mom authoritarianism blocks.
