Yes. MA, RI, and Central CT were lost to the Irish and Italian catholic immigrations. The Rust Belt deindustrialization in response to their voting pattern made it worse. Postwar Harvard+Yale made it worse. Great Society Southern Black migration made it worse. PR migration worse.
